The Kačić Room (Room No 4)
Kačić left behind four printed books, the first one of which was written in Latin and intended for the classically educated intellectuals, while the other three were in Croatian language and intended for the common folk. All these works were published in the last eight years of his life, in Mleci, the former political and cultural centre of southern Croatia, which was part of the Republic of Venice at that time.
The famous poet died unexpectedly, in his prime and in circumstances which cast special light upon the life and work of this man of the people.
